Keri and Jason | Samoset Resort Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographers
Saturday was the unofficial beginning of fall and a great day for a Samoset Resort wedding. The sun was shining and the weather was crisp, but not too cool - perfect for an outdoor ceremony overlooking Rockland Breakwater. With Cabot, the couple's puppy, greeting everyone who walked in the door, Keri and her girls got prepped for the big day in the Penobscot Bay room.
Keri and her girls were so ready for the day to begin! When I arrived they were almost all through hair and make up and mimosas in hand! They were sitting around, playing with dogs and babies talking and laughing. Some friends of the bride even came in to share stories about what the guys were up to. Apparently they were topless somewhere in the Samoset!
Before Jason put on his cufflinks with the Samoset's coordinates engraved in them, the guys were across the hotel trying to start a new groomsmen trend. At least that's how Jason tried to explain it! We shall see it their hijinx go the way of trendsetting. But if there's anything that came from this - is that we learned just how fun both Keri and Jason are!
And even more fun? As the girls were getting ready to head to the ceremony, they piled into the van to head down the hill and started chanting "Taco Bell!". Well, if there's one thing I love, it's tacos! So I'm excited to learn, and so were Keri's girls, that there is, in fact, a Taco Bell right down the street - which is always key information when planning a full weekend wedding! Late night snacks are a must!
Keri and Jason's ceremony was filled with love and laughter! With family members reading heartfelt passages and some good laughs between the couple, it couldn't have been a more perfect ceremony! I just loved the way Keri looked at Jason during their vows and ring exchange!
After the ceremony, guests headed to the cocktail hour on the patio while Keri and Jason took a spin in the golf cart. There also may have been some fence hopping involved to get a shot of them in Adirondack chairs Keri had been dreaming of. After an initial shock that the bride was climbing through a fence, we got some fun images both of her fence hopping and in the chairs!
Keri and Jason, after their introduction into the reception, shared their first dance full of spins and dips followed by a night of dancing and fun with family and friends!
