Portland Supper Club at Crooners and Cocktails and The Corner Room
In a word....FANTASTIC! Our sold out dinner event, "Mobsters, Martinis & Meatballs," at The Corner Room Kitchen & Bar in Portland, Maine was so much fun and a great success! Chef Harding Smith and his talented team rolled out the red carpet for Portland Supper Club! We were treated to an incredible four-course prix fixe menu of prosciutto wrapped asparagus, house meatballs, tender porchetta, and creamy vanilla panna cotta with strawberry rhubarb. The optional wine flight was an excellent pairing, featuring La Luca Prosecco, Purato Catarrato Pinot Grigio Blend, Nozzole Chianti Classico Riserva, Marchesi di Barolo Ruvei, and housemade digestif, Limoncello. Everyone enjoyed the evening, laughing and sharing stories, and meeting new friends. We would like to thank a few folks who helped us get here: Localvore Today (Maine) and Chris Hafford were our ticketing sponsor. The happy hour portion was hosted by Crooners & Cocktails and featured Shipyard's new Ice Pik Vodka and Owl & Whale bitters. Artfully crafted cocktails included: The Tuxedo, The Brando, and an oldie but goodie, The Screwdriver, made with freshly squeezed OJ. The management & staff at Crooners, including bartender Alex, were simply wonderful as our group took over their Sinatra-inspired lounge for our pre-night festivities! Passed appetizers included meatballs with a zesty honey-sriracha sauce and chicken & blue cheese deviled eggs!
