Greek Orthodox Baptism Photography | Miss M is Baptized
Miss M was baptized on a warm December day at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Portsmouth, NH. Because this was our first time covering a baptism and at this particular church, Dean and I arrived an hour early to take some detail images as well as speak with the Father about any restrictions on where we can and can't be. He was super nice and fun to work with! I was a little nervous with this being such a religious ceremony that Dean and I would be in the way, but he was more than welcoming and instructed us to be up on the alter and walk around as needed. The alter is the ONE place we can't go during weddings!
The Bishop was in town from Boston that Sunday morning so the church had a special service for him before the baptism which created a lot of smoke inside the church from the incense. It made the absolute most gorgeous light coming through the tall thin windows that lined the church. In our line of work, it's called the "God Light" and it was so appropriate!
I loved meeting with Miss M's family and experiencing our first baptism!
