Best of 2017 | Destination Wedding Photographers
It's here! Our best 17 of 2017! As Destination Wedding Photographers we get to photograph in amazing places throughout the year, It took us an extra week to review and choose the top of the top and I must admit, it is so hard to do! Dean and I honestly adore every wedding we shoot throughout the year and it's beyond impossible to narrow down to our few favorite shots. And with even more weddings in multiple locations it makes it even harder. Maybe next year we will break them down by region! We've done our best below to describe why we chose these ones.
Best of 2017 by Destination Wedding Photographers - Two Adventurous Souls
I just adore Jessie's classic look and her and John's radiant smiles!!!
It's been a while since we were able to set up a fashion-y shoot for a wedding party. I love the white and gray colors for this and the hanging lanterns matched the bride and grooms signing canvas for their guest book!
This one was a tough choice! There's two I love from this angle at the exact same moment. Here Dean is shooting with off-camera lighting to highlight that amazing sunset and in the other that didn't make the cut, I'm shooting closer in for natural light where the sun is giving everyone such a warm glow!
This is another winner of Dean's with Rebecca and Dylan looking back at family and friends during their ceremony
Here Sarah needed some help getting through the layers of her gown. Every bridesmaid was on hand helping lay each layer down just right. The fun part is, it wasn't staged! The girls all jumped in to help her out and it was perfect!!
Another classic shot of Jessie. She was reading her letter that John wrote to her before their first look. Her dress and Black and White were made for each other.
Bess and Brendan! Such a fun couple. Here's a scene we would have normally shot with Off Camera Lighting to really make that sunset dramatic (we did that too) but I had to leave in this soft muted pastel version without the lighting. I'm a sucker for scenes lit both ways!
Alison was all smiles on her wedding day! Her amazing smile paired with some goofy glasses made such a fun shot!
Lets hear it for the grooms! When you're in the tropics of course buttoning your shirt is optional. While I was busy working with the bride, Dean is grabbing key shots of the groom. We have a few more formal ones but I think this really conveys what a wedding in Costa Rica is like!
Anna's expressions. I'm in love with this whole wedding. Anna wears her emotions on her sleeve and it was so much fun to flip through their gallery and see all her expressions of joy throughout the day.
When in paradise the only photobombs I'll accept are wild life and surfers. Here we got some surfers that really hammer home you're somewhere different!
Alison was a swimmer so just before putting on her dress she was flexing her "swimmers muscles"
I'd be sad if this one was left out. I think this is my absolute fave from the entire year! The sand, bare feet, gorgeous floral mandala, the ocean and mountains!
Here's a little west coast sunset for you and the couple giggling!
Last but not least, the groom just relaxing! This picture Dean grabbed embodies what grooms get to do on wedding days, sit back and relax!
