Dreams Las Mareas Wedding, Costa Rica Wedding Photographers - Two Adventurous Souls - Destination Wedding Photographers

Eight years after meeting, the day finally arrived for Stefanie and Alex's Dreams Las Mareas wedding. It couldn't have been a more perfect day. Especially for us Costa Rica wedding photographers - the sun was shining, it was warm with a light breeze, a few clouds hung in the sky giving the day that perfect glow. Then there was Stefanie, creating a glow of her own, with her mega-watt smile surrounded by so many friends and family as she spent the afternoon prepping in her beach and jungle view suite.

Stefanie buzzed about her room telling jokes and having so many laughs with all of her girls who had come to make her day special. On the other side of the resort, Alex was with his guy friends while they teased him a bit and raised just a few beers in his honor. After all, Alex is a Patriots fan and it is Super Bowl weekend. When a guy gives up Super Bowl weekend to fly to a foreign country for you - you marry him!

Back with Stefanie and her girls, she slipped into her gorgeous lace gown with intricate floral details and her mom, Kathy, added the finishing touches by zipping up her gown and helping Stefanie put on her grandmothers pearls. With her look complete, everyone headed down to the beach for a very memorable day.

There's so many standouts from their day, it's hard to nail down a few but I'll try my best. Alex, having lost his voice the night before, did his best reciting his vows to Stefanie. It was certainly an emotional ceremony but the bridesmaids reminded everyone this was a party after all! by passing out shots at the end for, what I think should be customary, shot after the bride and groom are announced!

Following the ceremony the couple was serenaded by a fabulous mariachi band and danced their first dance as a married couple on the sand. It couldn't have been more perfect!

After all the portraits were done and the guests were ready for dinner, each of the maids of honor and best man took their turns speaking about Stefanie and Alex. There were some laughs, some tears, but I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye when Alex's best man read a letter his brother wrote for the day. Hector was unable to attend the wedding but made sure everyone knew what a great brother Alex is. It was beyond touching to hear such kind words spoken about both of them!
