Swinging Bridge Engagement Photos | Brunswick Maine Photographer | Bri and Dane
As a Brunswick Maine Photographer there's no more fun place in town than The Swinging Bridge. The bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was dedicated as a Maine Historic Civil Engineering Landmark in May 2011 by the Maine Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers. This is really a great bridge for re-enacting the bridge scene from Indiana Jones.
I met Bri and Dan while looking for a couple to photograph for my "About Me" Video. Our schedules didn't work out so we didn't end up meeting up that day but we did have a chance to connect this past month! They live up new Colby College so it was quite a distance! I'm so glad that we were all able to meet up in the fantastic town of Brunswick, Maine at the Swinging Bridge. It was a little cooler than I expected, we even received some snow that morning, yes MORE snow. Bri and Dane really were troopers, they actually enjoy the snow and cold so heading out onto the bridge and crossing over to Topsham was no problem for them. I didn't quite realize that the bridge really wasn't connected by anything more than the cables which was a bit unnerving at first when it actually started to swing! We had a lot of fun during the session and even did a little bit of rock climbing down to the boulders on the waters edge for some great shots of Bri and Dane cuddling and keeping warm.
