Class of 2016 Senior Portraits | Old Orchard Beach Maine | Lindsey B
Senior Portraits and the beach go together like Chocolate and Peanut butter
I'd have to say that 99% of my seniors choose the beach as their favorite location for their senior portraits. I would have to say that my Old Orchard Beach Senior Portraits are the most popular. They're also more difficult to schedule because of the crowds! When doing beach sessions we only offer two sessions a day: 20 minutes before sunrise and 1 hour before sunset. As you can imagine there aren't many high school seniors lining up for that sunrise slot. But as you can see from the images below the best time for Old Orchard Beach Senior Portraits is sunset! The light is perfect, the crowds are starting to thin, and hopefully the waves and wind have calmed down. I like a good windswept look, but not in every image!
I met with Lindsey for a pre-consultation at the studio a few days before her session where we discussed clothing, makeup and prop choices. After meeting this Amazonian blonde girl from Germany I knew we'd have an amazing time creating her senior portraits - she made my job really easy! Having some modeling experience back in Germany she knew how to pose for the camera.
We started the session off under the pier - that's the hardest place to shoot! I'd say there's always a line of photographers waiting to use it and about a million kids running in and out from the pillars. So when it's empty under the pier, we grab it quickly! From there we walked around and used some of the ramps and steps, of course the carnival area for that fabulous blue wall! We ended with a few shots with the pier in the background all lit up for that classic OOB vibe!
