Portland Head Light Engagement Session | Chris and Ashley's Cape Elizabeth Portrait Session
A Perfect Day for an Old Port and Portland Head Light Engagement Session
Dean and I had such a blast with Ashley and Chris as we walked through the old port and then headed off to Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth! I love when Dean has the opportunity to join on engagement sessions. He's been dabbling in video for our family and engagements.
Love Lock Bridge
One of the big things that Ashley and Chris wanted to do as part of their session was to add their lock to Portland's Love Lock Bridge. I love the idea! The most famous Love Lock Bridge is in Paris so it's great that we have a smaller version here. The idea is you write your names of the lock, lock it onto the bridge and toss the key into the water where it will never be found again.
From the Love Lock Bridge we strolled up to Wharf Street in the Old Port. It's one of my favorite locations in Portland to photograph. It's typically a busy area but some days you really luck out and we did! We even had time to stop and admire the "Free Bacon $1 Whiskey, $1 Tacos" sign at a local bar, we didn't get to stop in, but maybe we will make another special trip!
Our last stop of their Portland Head Light Engagement session was Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth which is where Chris proposed to Ashley. There are so many wonderful spots to roam at the park. We sat up by the mansion for a little bit while Dean did some video work (coming shortly!) where we really learned about Ashley and Chris, how they met, how he proposed.
