Wolfe's Neck Farm Wedding | Mariah and Jeff's Dreamy Tented Wedding
The sun was in and out of the clouds all day for Mariah and Jeff's Wolfe's Neck Farm Wedding
From Brittany: I met up with the girls at the Hilton Garden in downtown Freeport and when I arrived you could tell they were all so excited for the big day. Mariah took a few moments to herself before slipping into her beautiful gown. I love the images of her sitting on the bed and chatting with her flower girl!
Most of Mariah's bridesmaids also played sports with her in back in school so once they were ready they lead everyone in a song circle reminiscent of their days before games. Once the songs had been sung and the champagne toasts were made I headed outside with the ladies and found the most gorgeous area just outside the front door that was covered in fall leaves! If you were in Maine for fall this year, you know those pesky leaves were so late, so we were very happy to have those leaves!
From Dean: I met up with the Jeff getting ready with his guys at the Best Western in Freeport. Having narrowly escaped a potential tie disaster prior to my arrival, Jeff was focused, but noticeably excited for his day. The groomsmen kept the atmosphere light while everyone got ready joking around, especially with the groom's brother. After relaxing at the hotel and enjoying some libations, the group traveled over to Wolfe's Neck Farm. Wolfe's neck is a beautiful expanse of land with an arbor overlooking the ocean, which was to be the ceremony site. Despite the whole area being completely fogged in not an hour before, the skies were clear and the view was something only a coastal Maine wedding can offer. The groomsmen moved between doing some group shots with the groom to greeting guests and putting some finishing touches at the adjacent reception site. Before long, the girls had arrived and set the rest of the days events into motion.
During the ceremony Mariah and Jeff literally "tied the knot" with a special part of their ceremony where they took a large piece of nautical rope and, led by the officiant, tied it into a very sturdy knot that gets tighter the more tension that is applied to it. A very fitting metaphor for marriage!
After the ceremony the fog started to roll in and we captured so beautiful portraits while the entire wedding party played a rousing game of football in one of the fields. After the portraits were over, Mariah and Jeff joined in the fun for a few passes before heading back over to the reception tent.
Everyone ate their fill from the classic Maine lobster bake, played lawn games, and hung out by the amazing outdoor bar that Mariah and Jeff built themselves!!! After dancing their hearts out with family and friends everyone headed over to the camp ground where the party continued into the wee hours!
