On the Marsh Wedding | Kennebunkport Wedding | Tom and Tanya's Nature-centered Fall Wedding
It was such an amazing day for Tom and Tanya's On the Marsh Wedding
Saturday started as such a warm fall day which was perfect for Tom and Tanya's outdoor ceremony surrounded by friends, family, and nature.
The ceremony site was set up in a very unique way, there were four sections of seating, each one corresponding with a direction. During the ceremony the officiant lead the couple and guests in prayers dedicated to each direction and element while leaving a space at the beginning of each section for the guests to offer silent prayers for the couple.
I loved the looks Tom and Tanya shared with each other during the ceremony. They were so very relaxed and taking in the moments it was like no one else existed that day!
After the ceremony everyone went inside for food, drink, and a few wedding formalities. One of the highlights was for the first dance song Tom "forgot" the stereo for the first dance song BUT surprised Tanya with his guitar and sung her a song in lieu of the dance. It was heart-felt and touching - the look on Tanya's face says it all! After drinks and socializing with every guest they cut their beautiful birch tree cake. It was so amazing I couldn't imagine cutting into it, but alas they did, and it was a wonderful chocolate and vanilla marble cake from an amazing local baker.
Tom and Tanya ended their day with a horse drawn carriage ride through downtown Kennebunkport. All the guests waited at the exit and waved them off.
