Portland Headlight Wedding | Billy and Eric's Wedding at an Iconic Lighthouse
The Opportunity Comes but Once Every Four Years
The opportunity to photograph a Leap Year Portland Headlight Wedding! Billy and Eric chose a Monday in February to get married, which at first seems a little untraditional, and I'll admit, I couldn't figure out why anyone would choose a Monday! Until I looked at the calendar! Leap Year!
We all met at the iconic Portland Headlight where the limo dropped Billy, Eric, their son, and parents off. From there we took a few images of them getting things ready, the boutonnière and Eric's dad goofing around while holding Billy's bouquet. Speaking of the bouquet, Billy put that, along with the boutonnières together the night before!
The Warmest February on Record
Or at least we hopped! It was so warm for Billy and Eric's Portland Headlight Wedding all of us were really thankful! They exchanged vow's on a bluff overlooking the Portland Headlight and included vows to each other at to their son, which is always a touching moment during a ceremony. I love when parents honor their kids during their wedding vows.
After the ceremony we headed around the park to take photographs of just Billy and Eric with the ocean and lighthouse in the distance. From there we headed back to the base of the lighthouse for some family portraits, and to be shielded from the wind.
Oh and Bean boots, wedding dress, lighthouse! You'll see below!
Billy and Eric requested that all of their wedding be photographed in Black and White - OMG! It's like a dream come true for me! But there were a few that I had to include below in color just for the impact!
