Harborview at Jones Landing Peaks Island Wedding | Libby and Clarence
Dean and I are bringing it back to where it all started - a Harborview at Jones Landing wedding! We were married here so any time we get to photograph a wedding here is a dream.
Libby and Clarence had the most amazing day planned for their guests and wanted to share everything they love about Maine, sailing, and Casco Bay with everyone. Libby grew up sailing out on Casco Bay and her family are members of the Portland Yacht Club so naturally that’s where we started their wedding adventure.
Clarence met Libby at the Yacht Club for their first look with a gorgeous background of all the boats in the harbor before boarding Libby’s “dream yacht” and heading out on a beautiful trip through the boats, around Great Diamond Island before pulling into the docks at Jones Landing. Before boarding the Zephyr we all had to take our shoes off - barefoot - that’s my kind of wedding. Understandably so! Libby’s dream yacht is a vintage Hinkley picnic yacht with gorgeous woodwork. It was a stunning ride and such a special treat. While we were leaving the harbor we even passed Libby’s family’s sailboat at it’s mooring out in the bay.
Once we arrived on the island we were joined by both of their extended families for portraits and watching the rest of their guests arrive by ferry. We had plenty of time for some couples portraits on the dock as well. I’m really loving full sun portraits lately! It was a bit windy down there so we kept that session all about Libby and Clarence’s love for each other.
Everyone gathered on the lawn for Libby and Clarence to say their vows before heading up to the deck for cocktail hour.
As the sun set over the harbor Clarence and Libby danced the night away and had an amazing time celebrating their day with everyone they love!
