The Colony Hotel Wedding | Kennebunkport Maine Wedding Photographers
I love going into a wedding where I know there’s going to be so much good energy. A & E’s Colony Hotel Wedding was just that! While A hung out with her girls, relaxing, getting their hair and make up done at a salon just up the street from the Colony, E and his guys were buzzing about and ready to roll! I even got an email from E just a few days before the wedding with all of the ideas he had for photos of him and his groomsmen!
When Dean arrived with the guys, E was so excited to get the day underway he was already fully dressed in his wedding attire and ready to go. We always start with getting some details while the guys hang out so we quickly snagged his details while he hung out with his groomsmen for a few. Once those details were done it was time to go!
E had arranged for a lemonade stand up on the putting green of the Colony Hotel so that during the pre-ceremony and then during cocktail hour the guests could play a round of croquet and stay hydrated at the classic lemonade and ice tea stand. While E was out with the guys, A was in her room getting ready with her girls. They had on a great playlist of songs while A’s bridesmaids helped her into her gown, put on her bracelet, shoes, and earrings. After a first look with her dad, that brought a few tears to everyone’s eyes, we were off as well creating some stunning portraits in one of the Colony’s hallways. I just love the building, inside and out, for all of it’s classic New England charm, stunning chandeliers, and huge windows!
I’m so excited to share their day with you. It was so perfect and filled with so many smiles, love from all their family and friends, and lots of laughs during the speeches. A&E partied so hard with their friends and family on the dance floor, if you stood still you could feel the floor bouncing! Now that’s a party!
