Destination weddings are basically a week-long celebration for you and your friends and family. We’ve been instagram friends with Angela and Ameer for almost two years - and we were certain going into their wedding that it was going to be just that - a week long party! Family and friends have been instagramming all the moments from their arrival in Costa Rica all the way up to the wedding - and I’m sure there will be many more posts after this blog too. We’ve been loving every moment of it and feel like, even though we didn’t meet them in person until they arrived in country, that we’ve known them forever!
With a lot of our weddings in Costa Rica we also cover the welcome reception the night before. It’s a good way for us to meet the couple before their big day and get to meet a lot of the key people for the wedding. After the couple picked the most beautiful spot for their ceremony on the beach they all headed to dinner followed by a welcome drinks reception for all of their guests at one of the Westin’s many bars. Heartfelt toasts were made, celebratory shots were taken, even an appearance by Mariachi. It was a perfect night to welcome everyone to Costa Rica.
The day of Angela and Ameer’s wedding was perfect - a little windy - but if you know me, I love a good veil in the wind and breezy hair. I have so many images from their portraits I’m over the moon about!
The girls started the day with hair and make up in Angela’s suite while the guys snuggled and joked over in their room with a view! We took full advantage of the lush tropical gardens before heading to their ceremony on the pristine beach. Playa Conchal gets it’s name from the sand itself. It’s made from crushed seashells and is the most beautiful white beach with blue water you’ve ever seen!
