Mary and Matt's Colony Hotel Wedding | Maine Wedding Photographers

Mary and Matt’s wedding was our last full wedding of the 2018 wedding season and it’s such a bittersweet end. On one hand we get to relax (once all the editing is done) but on the other, we won’t be partying with any amazing couples and their guests until early 2019.

We couldn’t have asked for a better or more fun wedding to end our Maine wedding photographers season with! Mary and Matt are such an amazing couple and we can’t wait to see what their future holds.

Mary started the day in the home she grew up in which was so much fun with her girls primping upstairs in her childhood bathroom while Mary had the finishing touches put on her hair and make up downstairs. The girls were gathered around sharing so many stories throughout the day, of course there was one story Mary’s sister, Alicia, kept telling any time anyone even thought about crying to help them to not. I have to admit, I was really hoping for a low whisper of the word “diarrhea” during the ceremony, but I never heard it. That was the punchline to their “do not cry” chat. Another chant they did yell throughout the day was “Mary’s getting/got married” That was really fun to hear the girls chanting and it really got Mary excited for her wedding!

Matt and Mary met up at the altar of her childhood church in Biddeford. The priest’s sermon was filled with jokes and laughter which really personalized their ceremony and helped all the guests learn more about the couple and their journey to marriage!

After the ceremony we headed to the Colony hotel for their reception where they absolutely danced the night away! While it was warm in their, that didn’t stop anyone from dancing the night away!
