Eliza and James Maternity Portraits at Pineland Farms

Pro-tip, when you’ve got a very early morning session, call to make sure that the place you’re headed is open the hours they have listed on their website!

Thankfully Eliza and James have been clients/friends for a long time so they were game to roll with the punches when we found out upon arrival at 7am that the gardens at Pineland don’t open until 8am (despite their website at the time saying 6am!) No shade to Pineland though - since COVID nearly everyone’s hours have been different than posted.

When we showed up to a locked gate, we headed down the street to their lilac garden, but being early in the spring, it still wasn’t looking it’s best. I’ve photographed plenty of weddings at Pineland Farms to know the grounds pretty well so we headed to my other favorite location around the pond! I honestly think this spot worked better than the gardens would have. A beautiful sun dappled path, weeping willow on the bank of the pond, and some perfect rocks for sitting!
