Katy and Mat's Portland Maine Wedding
Katy and Mat first met during their freshmen year in college and while the were both involved in theatre. The day they met they were both at the theatre to take down the set. Mat was already up on stage and Katy was down in front of the stage. There’s a bit of a discrepancy on who said “hi” first, but Katy is certain it was her!
Thirteen years after that first meeting they got engaged. Katy knew there was a ring but didn't know that the ring was going to come with their pup Fenley.
All those years later they planned their winter wedding for a small venue in downtown Portland on Wharf St. - the downstairs pub of Gritty McDuff’s. I’ve been in this bar several times before and once for an engagement session but this was the first time getting to photograph a wedding there!
Before the ceremony Katy and Mat had a first look out on the iconic cobblestone of Wharf St followed by some family photos and pictures with dear, sweet Fenley! She’s such a fun pup to hang out with!
