Lynne and Nick's Midweek Bar Harbor Inn Wedding

Nick and Lynne’s engagement took place at the most beautiful place on Earth, Haleakala Volcanic Crater in Maui, HI. The 14 mile hike to the crater started at 10,000+ feet of elevation. Nick had actually carried the engagement ring with him on their hike the day prior as well but the trail was too crowded and didn't feel right, so he made a mastermind plan for their hike on day 2.

The GoPro recorded the whole hike into the crater as they went in search of Pele's Paint Pot. Nick had seen pictures of Pele's Paint Pot online and knew it was the most spectacular view in the crater and the perfect place for a proposal. The views were breathtaking the whole way, and then they came upon Pele's Paint Pot and took in all the sights, snapped a bunch of pictures, and enjoyed the peace & quiet of not another hiker in sight.

Nick wanted to make sure he had the best view for the proposal but at this point, they were at least 5.5 miles into this hike when he decides to tack on an extra 1.5 miles to be sure they didn't miss the most EPIC spot. After adding on a few extra miles, Nick realized their original spot was the best but he was pretty stealthy in convincing Lynne to return to Pele's Paint Pot for just a couple more pictures since it was SO beautiful. It was there Nick dropped to one knee. Through some tears, the first full sentence that came out of Lynne’s mouth was "You made me hike 7 miles into a volcanic crater for this???"

Lynne and Nick’s engagement took place in one of the most beautiful places on earth so it’s only natural that their wedding take place in another beautiful place - Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

Lately the weather has been just miserable, calling for rain nearly every single day. For Lynne and Nick’s wedding the weather took a full 180 and gave us the most beautiful day. For their Bar Harbor Wedding one of the very important requests was to go through the park and hit all their favorite spots for portraits. We are always happy to oblige when it comes to going through the park!

After their wedding tour through Acadia National Park we all headed to the Bar Harbor Inn for their wedding ceremony on the lawn and reception in the Porcupine Room overlooking the islands. It was here they connected with family and friends, sharing laughs and lots of cheers. Lynne and Nick enjoyed dinner and their cake cutting before heading out onto the deck, with gorgeous views, for their first dance.

I’m in love with the Bar Harbor Inn for sunset because it has such amazing views along with one of my favorite Tall Ships ever that passes by - the Margaret Todd! As you can see from some of their portraits, we had to get this iconic sailboat in the background!
