Lauren and Ethan's Bar Harbor Inn Wedding
How did these two meet? On Hinge! Lauren was late to their first date and sent a long text about being sorry and it not being a reflection of her desire to be on the date. Ethan thought she was a weirdo but then she arrived, sat down and ordered shots as her apology. They’ve been going strong ever since! haha
This weekend we met the most amazing couple! Lauren and Ethan planned their Bar Harbor Inn wedding from afar and they nailed the perfect weekend with their families.
Lauren originally wanted to elope and Ethan wanted a bigger wedding - meeting in the middle they decided on a small wedding at the Bar Harbor Inn. It was a brand new experience for Lauren’s family as they have never been to the area. They all promised they’d be back!
Dean and I truly get to meet the most amazing people nearly every weekend and get to share our love for Maine with them. Lauren and Ethan both have the most amazing hearts! As we were driving away after the wedding we both said we’d love to photograph these guys every single day.
Lauren and her mom, grammie, and sister were getting ready in a room with a beautiful view while sharing lots of laughs and some “New York” style straight forwardness (as Lindsey, Lauren’s sister calls it) which, from growing up in Connecticut, I can appreciate!
While the girls were up in the room getting glam, Ethan and the guys were down on the front lawn around the fire pit smoking cigars before they headed over to the lawn games. Apparently it was a very tough set up and soon Ethan’s brother in law offered up $100 to whomever could land a bean bag in the corn hole board. At least they all had a great time playing!
Their wedding couldn’t have been more perfect with so much sunshine, lots of laughs throughout their ceremony and reception. We even got the best sunset for them to dance along the shoreline.
I’m sure they’re off exploring Maine as they were headed up to the Moosehead Lake area and we are looking forward to their reviews - that’s one area we haven’t yet been to!
