The L Family's Ogunquit Beach Family Portraits
2023 was the year of the fog, rain, and smoke. 2024 has a lot of making up to do for the weather we endured! It definitely made for a lot of last minute rearranging of sessions. Especially when it started to get overcast or the smoke started coming in from the wildfires. That makes it appear as if the sun has set about an hour earlier than it actually does.
The L family was super flexible and so much fun! It was one of those nights we did have the smoke blowing in from the Canadian wildfires but it actually worked a bit in our favor. We had nice soft, even lighting and not many people were on the beach. There’s lots of areas, but for Ogunquit Family photos I always prefer, if tides allow, to be at the main beach - which can be crowded on those hot summer evenings. But for this particular night it was pretty wide open. I didn’t have to photoshop too many people out of the backgrounds! A win for me!
I had fun with this family walking all over the main beach, the smaller beach on the river side and then playing in puddles and tide pools at the very end. So many giggles!
