Today’s vendor spotlight is the Stage Neck Inn in York, Maine

Imagine your seaside wedding ceremony overlooking the open Atlantic Ocean. As you say “I do” the warm afternoon sun shines on you and your guests for a nice balance to the refreshing ocean breeze. After you walk down the aisle you spend the afternoon enjoying cocktail hour on the lawn overlooking the beach with your family and friends. Just as the sun sets you’re ushered into the ballroom with large, west-facing windows to enjoy the last few drops of sunlight before you have dinner and dance the night away in the newly remodeled ballroom space.

If you’re looking for a resort for your wedding on the ocean that will have space for all of your guests, on site ceremony space, cocktail and reception space - look no further than the Stage Neck Inn.

We’ve been lucky enough to photograph many weddings over the years along with family portraits for families staying both in the main hotel and their Grand Seaside Cottage. With spectacular sunsets and views from every point on the property it’s the perfect place to say “I Do”.

The Stage Neck Inn has a beautiful spot for your ceremony looking out over the East to the open ocean and the York River entrance on the right. Just beyond the ceremony spot is our favorite spot for couples portraits, the cliffs. They’re not difficult to walk out on and with nicely worn paths it makes it pretty easy! We do recommend if you’re wearing stilettos or mens dress shoes to possibly bring something else to quickly slip into that has a bit more grip - but all of our couples have gone out to the spots with no problem. Dean and I are the ones usually jumping around on the rocks to get different angles!

While we are out on the rocks with our couples, their guests are in the open air cocktail lounge enjoying delicious appetizers and drinks. The area is tented but able to be opened up onto the fire pit area with lots of tall tables and adirondack chairs around the fire pit. This view overlooks the little beach right on the property as well as perfect sunset views as the sun sets over the bend in the river.
