Heather and Fresca's Tented Wedding | Carrabassett Valley Wedding
Crying wasn’t on the agenda for the day, but it certainly happened. Happy tears are always welcome on wedding days. In fact we live for them for moments to photograph.
Heather and Fresca held their tented wedding on family property and infused their day with so many personal touches it would be hard to spot a dry eye at points throughout the night.
When we arrived at the Nix Mix Farm we were greeted by family and friends all throughout the property who were helping to put together the most amazing day for Heather and Fresca. Fresca’s mom, Monica, was buzzing about from building to building checking in on everyone’s getting ready progress, stopping by the kitchen to see if catering needed anything, and greeting guests as they arrived for the ceremony. You could tell how much pride she had in welcoming everyone to the farm and excitement everyone had for the day.
Heather and Fresca first met at a softball game where Heather has just struck out at bat. It was her sense of humor that originally won Fresca over as she was cursing up a storm under her breath about the strike out. She sat down and grabbed some Fireball and offered some to Fresca. A shot of fireball started their romance so it was only natural that they started their wedding day by sharing a “first shot”. They did this without seeing each other. I think the shot helped calm Fresca’s nerves too - even though her face after taking the shot was priceless!
Shortly after that everyone headed to the field for the ceremony where the couple’s family and friends had done so much work making the decor! Everything from the benches to the geometric arbor, and the doors were all created just for their day.
Following the ceremony and cocktail hour where guests enjoyed drinks from one of the two bars set up on the property along with oysters and the most amazing hand made cheese and meat display we’ve ever seen, guests headed down to the tent for an evening of food and dancing!
