Red Barn at Outlook Farm Wedding | South Berwick, Maine | Cortney and Michael
Cortney and Mike let me know during our conversations leading up to their wedding that they are both the first on each side of their family to get married and they thought their wedding was going to be a fun time. Well it was so amazing! From the heartfelt happy tears that snuck out of Mike when he first saw Cortney walking down the aisle with her dad to the ridiculous dance party that had the whole floor shaking it couldn’t have been a more perfect day for these two!
We learned a lot about these two over the course of their wedding planning and then learned a whole lot more from Mike’s brother and best man during his speech. None of which we can share here! But there was laughter and some crying and even a joke or two that made gram blush and then laugh so hard she had tears down her face!
Since we can’t share those juicy details here’s a bit about how the couple met:
Cortney and Mike met on a double blind date organized by two of their close friends. Cortney was going to nursing school at the time and Mike was working in Manchester, NH. There was a bit of a travel gap between them to start but after each of them seeing photos of the other they decided to give the date a try. All the apprehension of a blind date quickly flew out the window because the when Mike saw Cortney drive up the driveway of their friends house he instantly knew he had made the right decision.
Shortly after that first blind date they made plans for some solo dates of their own, the first of many in Portsmouth, NH where after many more dates their friendship grew into love and eventually moved in together in a place in Portsmouth.
So a big shout out to Steve and Lauren for setting these two up!
