Kate and Mike’s first date involved walking eight miles all around Boston. Kate was in heels. So naturally their wedding day should involve tons of walking in heels! But this time around it’s exploring Bar Harbor and all of Acadia National Parks iconic landmarks. The good news is, unlike their first date, where they had to say goodbye at the end of the night and Kate debated taking an Uber two blocks so she didn’t have to walk anymore, Kate and Mike get to spend the entire night dancing and partying with their family and friends. After coming off the past year of COVID restrictions and quarantines this is exactly what these two need - quality time to celebrate with those who mean the world to them!

Kate and Mike were married last summer in a small ceremony in California with Kate’s family in attendance and Mike’s family there via Zoom. Of course that meant that this year was the 1 year anniversary party and it was going to be a PARTY! And oh boy was it a party!

We worked with Kate and Mike to get their couples portraits around Acadia National Park and then family photos done at the Bar Harbor Club before the ceremony so that the couple could enjoy their time with family and friends during the cocktail hour and again visiting with family during the dinner hour. Kate and Mike, as everyone who talked about them described, were honestly so very genuine. They stopped at every single table during the dinner hour and had meaningful conversations with every guest in attendance, and a few “hello’s” to guests calling in via Zoom on family’s phones.

Once dinner was over and the formal parent dances done, everyone got up to enjoy the dance floor. There may have been a few “worms”, some “she thinks my tractor’s sexy”, and a whole lot of hands up during “shout”. Scroll down below to check the whole day out!
