Becky and Nate's Acadia National Park Adventure Wedding
Mid-week weddings are where it’s at! I had such a great time meeting with Becky and Nate for their wedding in Acadia National Park. Since it was a week day there was no waiting in long lines to enter the park, circling for parking (we snagged TWO empty spots in the Jordan Pond House lot), and not a lot of other tourists to remove from the backgrounds.
These two were such a joy to photograph from start to finish. I wanted the day to go on even longer!
When I say we toured the island, we made it almost all the way around stopping at some of the gorgeous tourist spots along the way and a few hidden gems on the side of the road - like the lupine field!
Their small wedding was perfectly tailored to everything these two wanted. They started the day at an AirBnB near the Somesville bridge where they could have their pup, Boomer, on hand for all the festivities. He even got to accompany them to their first look on the iconic Somesville Bridge before heading back with Becky’s dad to meet them at the ceremony spot.
Becky and Nate’s friend, Dustin, was the officiant for the day and did such an amazing job putting in some soft emotional moments an ending with lots of humor with a hilarious impersonation.
After the ceremony everyone joined them to dig into lobsters and enjoy the setting sun as it lit up the sky with blues and purples. A fitting end to their day as we went through about three different types of weather throughout the day.
Becky and Nate ended their evening with an impromptu first dance after dinner. It was a surprise for everyone, even them!
