Footbridge Beach Family Portraits with the S Family | Ogunquit Family Photographer

It was the best sunset we’ve had for a session this year so far and I’m so luck to have gotten to share it with a family I’ve photographed so many times over the years.

It all started when Rebecca and Andrew contacted us to photograph their engagement session on a trip to Maine, and then their wedding back in their home town in Eastern Pennsylvania. That was such a fun experience! We spent the whole weekend out there with them and then touring Philly. Definitely need to make a trip back out that way again to experience more of the city. After their wedding they added little Miss N to their family and I photographed their family on another trip to Ogunquit. And then just this summer I got to meet their newest little man for a fun evening on the beach!

I always find Family Portraits at Footbridge Beach to be some of the best! I just love Ogunquit beaches, but at high tide, Footbridge stands apart! Not only is there a really cool bridge over the river leading to the beach, the sand is always so soft, with lots of room to run. And on the way back to the parking lot we get to stop for photos along the river and on the bridge. Occasionally there’s a few kids “fishing” for crabs off the bridge too which is always fun to watch. Who knew you could catch them with a sand pail and a hot dog!

**We did note that Footbridge Beach is now charging all the way until 8pm for parking which is upsetting. However they have moved to an hourly model so it does make it a bit easier on the wallet. My last visit to the main Ogunquit Beach they were still charging a full day rate regardless of how long you stay, however I have not checked to see if they’ve moved to an hourly rate or have started to charge after 6pm.
