Rachel and William's Inn on Peaks Island Wedding
I’m so happy that Mother Nature is giving us some gorgeous weather to make up for that rainy spring/beginning of summer!
The day started for Rachel and William out on the island. While Rachel was in the bridal suite on the top floor, William was in one of the gorgeous, ocean view rooms getting ready with his guys. The girls shared champagne toasts and the guys, coronas with lime.
When William and his guys were finished with the suite, Rachel and her girls went down there to get dressed. Excitement filled the air as Rachel’s attendants donned their pink dresses and then helped Rachel into her stunning gown.
After their first look on the lawn we hopped in a few golf carts and took off for a quick photo tour of the island. With the tide high that limited us to a few areas along the back of the island but it was well worth it! The sun was at their backs and we were treated to views of Ram Island Light and sailboats crisscrossing between the islands.
The guests boarded the ferry in Portland ready to be transported to the laid back, beautiful venue on Peaks. Maybe because it was Labor Day Weekend, or maybe it was because we finally had some beautiful days, Casco Bay was filled sailboats on the sparkling water.
Rachel and William chose a short wedding ceremony so that they could take advantage of spending extra time with their guests during an extended cocktail hour and then dancing well into the night!
