Surprise Proposal in Acadia National Park | Dylan and Guadalupe
Having a solid plan when proposing in Acadia National Park is key. Why? Because there’s no dang cell service anywhere! Or at least for Dylan and Guadalupe’s surprise proposal there was cell service in one small square of the top of this mountain. Which I spent a lot of time in waiting to get a text from Dylan that he was on his way.
When working with couples inside the park I always like to provide a map of the area, any trails we need to hike, the direction to hike up, and for this surprise proposal I even set up a picnic spot with a blanket, cheese & crackers, etc. Just so that Dylan would know exactly where to go!
When Dylan reached out he wanted some recommendations on where to propose to Guadalupe with a short hike and pretty views. DONE! But little did I know these two planned on hitting a few other summits the morning of. They’re beasts! Dylan and Guadalupe checked off BOTH Precipice Trail AND Beehive that morning. Naturally they were beat by the time they got to their proposal spot. Having the picnic set up was great for them because they got to sit and relax and enjoy the views and the moment.
After they relaxed for a bit we headed down and hit up on the of the beaches for some sunset portraits before these two headed off to enjoy a celebratory dinner in Bar Harbor.
