I never turn down an engagement session in Acadia National Park if I can help it. I will squeeze them into my schedule even if it means an overnight of car camping. “Why would you do that to yourself?” You ask. Because they’re amazing!
Alyssa and AJ contacted me about their engagement session in the park and I jumped at the chance. They wanted to spend a few hours hitting up all the great spots throughout the park so I sat down and made notes of all the backdrops they envisioned and made us a map. If you’re not familiar with the park, most of the “classic” scenes are along the Park Loop Road - which is a one way loop. So planning is key.
These two spent the morning hiking Beehive Trail so I wanted to make sure that their evening in the park was as laid back as possible. That trail is exhausting physically and mentally. I’m surprised still that they were game for getting dolled up and touring the park with me.
We started in the woods because as it gets closer to sunset, it can get realllllyyyy buggy this time of year. From there we headed off to the coast for some beach and rock images. About half way through they brought a change of clothes for some more formal images. Alyssa’s choice of the blue gown totally worked with the background and the calm oceans that day.
