Granite Ridge Estate Wedding | Megan and Nate's Fall Barn Wedding
Our goal as wedding photographers is to not only capture our couples but to feel like friends. With Megan and Nate that came so easily! They both have the most amazing sense of humor - the belly laughs during Megan’s vows to Nate solidified that.
For Nate the most important part of the entire day was seeing Megan walking towards him at the end of the aisle. And what a gorgeous aisle it was. As a kid I was obsessed with the Kevin Coster Robin Hood movie - I’m not sure if that shows my age or my bad taste in movies. If you’ve ever seen it there’s a wedding at the end between Robin Hood and Marian and she walks down the most beautiful fall aisle to meet Robin at the alter. Megan and Nate’s wedding was pretty much the modern day version of that. From the fall crisp air to the gorgeous arrangements of flowers that lined the aisle everything was so perfect! I guess we could have had Sir Sean Connery as the officiant but I’m pretty partial to Connie at All in 1 Weddings as she also officiated Dean and I’s wedding many years ago.
I couldn’t be more thrilled that the weather held out for these two either. Coming from Pennsylvania all they wanted was for guests to enjoy the views and beauty of Maine. With a 70% chance of rain all day we totally lucked out and had zero rain until about 9pm. Everyone got to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour under cafe lights with beautiful views of the western mountains and then danced the night away to some great music in the barn.
We are so glad this couple came into our lives and we were able to capture their wedding for them!
I can’t wait to see where their future adventures take them.
