These two! Where do I even begin? I met Suzi and Jared just about a year ago for their engagement session in Sunday River and knew immediately that we were going to have the best time! They brought their two German Shepherds along with them to their session that day and we just had the best time laughing and chatting.
Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing! From razzing Jared about stepping in front of the camera to Suzi chugging from a champagne bottle (and it going up her nose) during portraits with her sister and sisters in law - we haven’t laughed harder throughout a wedding day with a couple. I think it’s what everyone needs right now - laughter and smiles.
Suzi and Jared’s ceremony was at the amazing Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston. If you’ve ever been to the city you’d know it’s spires make for an iconic skyline. It’s absolutely stunning inside and, if I might add, quite the workout to photograph in!
Following the ceremony we headed to the park down the street for portraits. By then the wind had picked up a bit so we decided to have fun with it! There was lots of laughing and Suzi reenacting that iconic scene from Titanic with her dress in the wind. Along with marrying Jared, she also gained 4 additional sisters and they celebrated with Suzi’s sister Kelsey and a bottle of champagne and some hilarious moments (you’ll see those below in both the video clip and photos).
Due to COVID they decided to change up their original wedding plans of marrying at Sunday River and instead chose a local restaurant, The Pub at Baxter Brewing, for their reception. It was the first ever wedding there and I have to let you know, it was fantastic! With industrial lighting throughout and fun touches from the mill it was in there were so many fun photographic opportunities. We even got a tour of the brewery at the end of the night!
